We turn the Philippines into stories the world can see. From a production house in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, we film, fly, map and animate — and now we build AI. Our priority: a sovereign Filipino language model and a multimodal generative AI that speaks Cebuano and Tagalog natively.

Bart Sakwerda founds BUDOTS MEDIA during the rehabilitation period after Typhoon Haiyan — first in Budlaan, then Banilad, Cebu.

2015

Office relocates to Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City.

2016

BUDOTS MEDIA LONDON — offices on Hackney and Camden High Street (until 2020).

2020

COVID-era expansion: full production house established in Lapu-Lapu City. Work continues when the world stops.

2023

Post-ChatGPT pivot into AI. Clients in Saudi Arabia; growth focus on Arabia, India and SE Asia. European Structural Funds access via BUDOTS MEDIA POLAND.

Now

Priority: sovereign Filipino language model and multimodal generative AI. Games, maps, data visualization, aerial surveys.
