Client — Philippine Department of Tourism

In June 2023 the Department of Tourism retired "It's More Fun in the Philippines" and unveiled Love the Philippines — chosen because "love" ranked first among words the world associates with the country. For Budots Media it was less a new brief than a new name for what we had been filming all along.

Our DOT portfolio runs deepest in Region 7 — Central Visayas — where we produce and steward media for DOT7 and its verticals: FMA7 (Filipino Martial Arts, including the Eskrima Tour of Cebu), RIDE7 (motorsports) and DIVE7 (scuba). Beyond campaigns, we maintain DOT7's long-term media library — the archive a region draws on every time it needs to show itself to the world.

A slogan asks the world to love the Philippines. Footage is the argument.

The campaign's premise — that the country is more than fun: natural assets, storied history, deep culture — is the same premise behind our maps, our drone surveys and our island stories. Kalanggaman sandbars, Camiguin resorts, Eskrima lineages, outrigger canoes: destination marketing works when the material is real.
